Are you feeling low or depressed?

Feeling low or sad can be a normal feeling that we all experience from time to time. These feelings may last for up to a few days and then pass.

If these feelings persist, it may be part of what we call depression. When people are depressed, they experience low mood, feeling down or a lack of interest in things. However, depression is more than feeling fed up or unhappy and can affect people very differently. We know symptoms of depression include feeling low but also include physical symptoms which may include reduced sleep, low energy or changes in appetite.

Depression can occur in response to a change in your life or a particular difficulty you are experiencing but can also sometimes seem like it has come out of the blue. To find out more about depression or related issues, please follow the links below.
